Description: | Traffic Control Technician
Rapidly growing $30 million national safety services provider based in Northeast Ohio is seeking a Traffic Control Technician to assist in the setup and management of Traffic Control Work Zones.

Our employees provide turn key traffic control solutions, including professional flagging, equipment rental, and full scale work zone management. Daily we deploy over 500 associates to handle simple to complex traffic control situations to keep the motoring public, and our customers safe. Our fleet of more than 300 well maintained traffic control equipped vehicles are mobile offices for our employees, providing all the equipment necessary to set up safe, well managed work zones. | Duties: | RESPONSIBLITIES:
SAFETY:
Maintain a consistent and unrelenting focus on Safety throughout all job functions.
WORK ZONE MANAGEMENT:
Manage day to day work zone set up, maintenance and tear down meeting or exceeding customer, state and company expectations
Lift, carry and place traffic cones to ensure the safety of the work zone. Lifting may be up to 50 lbs.
Lift, carry, place and assemble traffic control signs in the proper order to manage work zone traffic.
Follow company and state guidelines for effective, safe well managed work zones.
EQUIPMENT OPERATION:
Utilize specific equipment (walkie talkies, yak trax, etc.) as specified in company policies.
Drive Company trucks as needed. Keep equipment in trucks well organized and in working order.
TRAFFIC CONTROL INDUSTRY EXPERTISE
Develop a superior understanding of AWPs, American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA), national and local traffic control rules and regulations.
Develop superior knowledge of Work Zone Setup and Design and Professional Flagging responsibilities.
Obtain ATTSA Certification.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
o Provide the highest level of customer service to all customers. This includes on-time arrival and well managed work zones.
| Qualifications: | REQUIREMENTS:
Current Valid Drivers license with two or less moving violations in the last 36 months, and no major driving infractions.
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Strong customer service mentality and proven track record of customer service success
Prior experience in Traffic Control Services or Utility or Construction Industry preferred
Capable of standing and holding a STOP/SLOW sign for up to 8 hours in a day.
HOURS:
Start times vary from day to day based on customer needs
Full and Part Time Positions available. Part Time positions are available for 1 to 3 days per week, primarily during the day shift. Needed days tend to be Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday. |
