SUMMARY:
Plans, creates, produces and executes marketing, advertising and sales promotion materials to implement marketing strategies and sales objectives to consumers for LYSTEDA. |
Duties: |
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead consumer promotion program development to ensure tactical details deliver on strategy and the plan is in budget.
Identify the right media mix to best deliver on the business objectives.
Provide strategic counsel for promotion details: Market list, values, number of coupon offers, etc;
Support budget planning and ongoing budget reconciliations.
Assists in the development of creative briefs to ensure written assignment aligns to desired outcome.
Define metrics for success to ensure measurement to analyze the effectiveness of the program.
Provide integration of Digital elements into consumer promotion strategy and tactical plans.
Partner with procurement in vendor/supplier selection and program contracts.
Propose tactics for consumer advertising and promotion for assigned products.
To keep aware of, and communicate to Marketing and Sales management, market trends and competitive information.
Prepare monthly update forecasts of promotional and advertising expenses for consumer campaigns.
Maintain contacts with advertising agency and journal space representatives.
Review copy jackets for all assigned products.
Provide strategic thought leadership for the LYSTEDA marketing team while ensuring that all plans support the overall objectives and strategies of the brand's business plans.
Analyze company and competitive plans to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
Recommend brand opportunities by anticipating implications and consequences of external trends and highlighting best in class practices in the DTC arena.
Provide counsel for strategic development of consumer promotion objectives, strategies and tactics;
Represent the company at professional industry meetings, seminars, etc.
Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Marketing or President.
Continuously identify opportunities for business process and/or expense efficiencies; partner with management and colleagues to assess and implement recommendations in a timely and effective manner.

Qualifications: |
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or related area is required. MBA preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive marketing and/or sales experience in pharmaceutical marketing to consumers or the consumer packaged goods industry is required. Experience working with creative agencies is required. Candidates must have excellent communication, analytical and tactical development execution, be able to work in a team environment, and be customer/market oriented. Must have a track record of bringing innovative thinking to business planning process. Direct to Consumer Promotions experience is preferred. Candidate must have the ability to manage multiple priorities across multiple time horizons, work cross-functionally, manage a budget, develop forecasts and understand financials for a brand/company. Highly motivated, enthusiastic and passionate about exceeding in delivering on consumer needs in the context of consumer marketing. This position requires up to 15% domestic travel.
