Numara Software is looking for a Software Engineer primarily responsible for the maintenance of a web-based help desk application and who possibly serves as a team lead for product maintenance.

Duties: |
Primary Responsibilities:
•Interface with Technical Support to provide solutions to software problems, including root cause analysis and defect repair.
•Occasionally communicate with customers directly to evaluate and analyze reported defects.
•Promotion of high quality deliverables through adherence to process and defined practices.
•Contribute to the creation, establishment and adoption of product and SDLC improvements.
•Apply experience and good judgment to plan and accomplish department and company goals.
•Provide technical leadership and potentially direct the work of others.

Qualifications: |
Required skills:
•Strong programming skills, preferably with Perl, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills
•Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
•Web application development experience
•Knowledge of SQL and relational databases
•Ability to prioritize and multi-task
•Ability to balance technical, business and other drivers
•Excellent verbal and written communication and collaborative skills
•BA/BS in related field
Preferred Skills:
•Experience developing commercial software applications
•Experience working with JavaScript frameworks (e.g. YUI, extJS, JQuery, Dojo)
•Knowledge of JSON
•User interface programming experience
•Sufficient background developing in and for multi-platform applications (i.e. Windows, UNIX, Linux, Solaris)
