Description: | Job Summary:
Position is responsible for managing the corporate training program and training staff. Ensures that all new hires are provided with training and continued education is given to existing employees. Development of training modules and materials and drives training initiatives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with sales training team to design/implement/deliver training programs and materials to an employee population that is dispersed geographically at multiple sites
- Provide training of new hires and continue education of existing staff to include the redesign of New Hire Orientation
- Evaluate training programs and instructor effectiveness throught the collection of data and feedback using established tools, conduct follow up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results; modify programs as needed.
- Assess organization developmental needs to drive training initiatives through surveys, focus groups and or consultation with managers.
- Ensure that operations is kept aware of training requirements to include certifications
- Design and conduct refresher training for existing operations staff
- Design and conduct all management training
- Design and conduct all home office non sales training
Education and background requirements:
Requirements:
- BA, or equivalent in Organizational Design Development, Training or related field.
- 5+ years experience in corporate training function with emphasis on conflict resolution, management & legal, and teamwork initiatives
- 4+ years of training development/delivery experience
- Strong knowledge of instructional design methods and adult learning theories
- Experience in MS Office Applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, Project Management, and PowerPoint)
- In-depth understanding of Learning Management Systems
- Experience in professional development, performance management and process improvement
- Demonstrated understanding of learning, teaching, OD, learning management systems and eLearning practices
- Demonstrated classroom and technology-enable learning and instructional design of training.
- Demonstrated a systematic approach to problem solving and data analysis
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time with minimal supervision
- Familiar working with a matrix-style organization and team
- Understanding of project management, working knowledge of time scaled dependency
- Strong presentation and communication skills
