Parts Leader- Moorestown, NJ

Description:

The Parts Leader is responsible for the successful management and leadership of the Moorestown Tozour-Trane Parts Store location. Responsibilities include Parts operations, developing personnel, markets and product representation.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises employees in the branch location. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; coaching and mentoring employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Must have a valid driver’s license

Duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Responsible for Profit and Loss at Moorestown store.

-Maintains constant awareness of markets, competitor activities and issues within assigned area.

-Recognizes trends that develop, makes appropriate recommendations to Parts and Supplies Manager.

-Provides input for annual operating plan, budget, product promotions and marketing to Parts and Supplies Manager.

-Conducts market price and product needs analyses.

-Evaluates stock and recommends min max levels for stocked items.

-Responsible for all aspects of inventory control including replenishment, stocking, cycle counts, and physical inventory.

-Recommends new product lines to Parts and Supplies Manager.

-Oversees parts deliveries, stocking, and storage.

-Sets work priorities for all Parts Center associates

-Responsible for fostering positive work environment for associates.

-Supervises coaches and mentors inside sales, drivers, and warehouse personnel.

-Consults with Parts and Supplies Manager and performs performance reviews as well as recommending wage increase.

-Coordinates with Parts Area Manager, plans, and conducts monthly staff meetings.

-Maintains Open Purchase Orders, Open Warranty Claims, Open Sales Orders (pick up shelf), Negative on Hand, and Parts without a Bin Locator, reports.

-Responsible for electronic payables and accruals.

-Responsible for collections on all accounts past due.

-Responsible for daily SFT Service order log.

-Responsible for total customer satisfaction.

-Serves customers by answering questions, providing information and by locating and shipping parts.

-Responsible for monitoring all products returns.

-Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required.

-Responsible for Safety of Associates and Customers at Parts Center.

-Maintains and Reconciles Cash Drawers & Safe.

-Responsible for scheduling and reporting all vacation, sick time, attendance and hours.

Other Responsibilities:
•Prioritizes workload and request to ensure customer and employee satisfaction are delivered.

•Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public.

•Prepares reports and correspondence and maintains files.

•Arrange and participate in meetings, conferences, and project team activities.

•Operate a variety of standard office machines, including a personal computer and a variety of computer software, phone, and fax, calculator, shredding machine and copy machine.

•Communicate and liaise verbally and in writing between customers/suppliers/visitors/enquirers and relevant staff, and interpret and respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person, and to verbal or written instructions. Provide accurate and timely information.

•Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health & safety procedures.

•Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role. Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.

•Adhere to health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to care of equipment.

•Other responsibilities as required.

LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT DUTIES
This is a high level / profile position. As such, it is imperative that good leadership principles be followed. The Parts Leader should be able to pledge to members of the team the following:

•Participate in office Management Team Meetings
•Establish annual Parts budget.
•Maintain staff; work with Human Resources in recruitment and hiring.
•Assign and delegate work as needed.
•Perform periodic and annual performance reviews of staff
•Perform disciplinary reviews and coaching meetings with staff
•Ensure proper training of new hires, and current staff. Ensure cross-training takes place
•Promote team atmosphere
•Maintain vacation schedule for the team; approve paid time off
•Review, approve/sign team expense reports.
•Perform all work in a safe manner, adhering to company safety policy.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or 2-year Associate’s Degree and two years parts management related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have good computer skills. Must have the ability to work with all levels of staff and maintain strict confidentiality of information. Must be able to multi-task, openly communicate, work well with others and carry a positive attitude. Mature, credible and comfortable in dealing with customers and vendors. Must be able to work extended hours when required.
